Bathed in warm shades of coral, blush, and desert orange, this striking horse painting brings a playful twist to classic Western art. The graceful horse turns toward the viewer against a glowing sunset-inspired background, while unexpected pinks and saturated highlights give the piece a distinctly modern personality.

Soft, flowing strokes through the mane contrast with the sculptural curves of the horse, creating a piece that feels elegant, feminine, and unmistakably Western. The bold color palette makes it an instant statement piece while still capturing the strength and beauty that make the horse such an enduring icon of the West.

Perfect for collectors who love Western imagery with a fresh, colorful point of view.

The Artist: Rosanne Schaefer

Rosanne Schaefer, a professional oil painter with over 32 years of experience and a lifelong love for capturing beauty on canvas. Her passion was always focused on oil painting, creating custom pieces from a young age.

After attending the University of Arkansas on an Art Scholarship she began a career selling artwork online to individuals and collectors. Completing numerous commission works with a passion for the extra large canvas. Her works were featured in local magazines during the 90s.

Eventually she stepped back from the art world to focus on raising 8 incredible kids. Even during those busy years, her passion for painting never faded.

Roses were always a specialty—"there’s something timeless and expressive about them that I never tire of exploring." Each painting is a blend of rich color, texture, and emotion, created with love and a deep appreciation for the quiet elegance of nature.

With her children all grown she is living her true passion of creating original oil painting.
